The next question would have to be a listing of the actual error that is being thrown when the mount fails. Is there an /etc/fstab entry for /dev/hdb6? My suggestion would be stop the services, try the mount by hand, see what errors (if any) get thrown. If there aren't any errors thrown trying to mount the directory by hand... hmm..
