What you just noticed is, that the numbers are sorted in an "alphabetical"/ASCII-way. Because 1 is smaller than 10, it comes first. And because everything starting with 2 is bigger than anything starting with a 1 it comes after that. If you have any influence, make sure that the digits are left-padded with zeroes, so that you have 01, 02, .... This way you'll get the sort order you want.
