when logging into a kde session I get the following error

mime type config file
/usr/share/mimelnk/inode/directory.kdelnk
does not contain a mime type = ... entry

then....a kfm error

could not find mime type inode directory

what causes this and where can I look to correct it? The system (7.1
mdk) was working very well until this.

The box said,
"Requires Windows 3.x or better",
so I got Linux.
