My upgrade to 7.2 was relatively smooth, but there were a few issues that came up. One was with emacs and gcc. When I tried to run emacs after the install, the binary couldn't be found. The same happened with gcc. It turned out that emacs was installed as /usr/bin/emacs-20.7 and gcc as /usr/bin/gcc-2.95.2 . I had to make symbolic links for /usr/bin/emacs and /usr/bin/gcc . I also had a broken kde install following the upgrade. When I went to install the rpms manually, I found that it was looking for /usr/lib/libsafe.so.1 when, in fact, libsafe had been installed at /lib/libsafe.so.1.3. Another symlink fixed that problem. Have others had the same problems, or did I do something funky? -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- smalltime industries bringing you the latest in interplanetary transport technology, interactive web games, dada, art, poetry and pants. www.smalltime.com ...... visit early and often -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
