I have a LM 7.1 box as a mailserver for mostly Windows NT clients. I
would like to send users a "popup" message via smbclient -M whenever
they receive mail. Thus far I have got it at least sending a message to
say that mail has been received, but I would like it to inlcude the
subject and the sender.

The biggest problem I have is actaully getting the message from procmail
into my script (bash).

my .forward file contains:
\<username> | "/usr/local/bin/smbmail"

where smbmail is a bash script that grep's Subject and From from the
message.

To get a message, I was reading from /dev/stdin. This works when cat'ing
my mbox to smbmail, but not from prcmail. So the question is, how do I
go about getting the data piped by procmail ??
