I had a few problems with my cable modem setup as well, but mine all turned out to be caused by me. I found that when I had set up the eth0 interface under linuxconf, I had specified a different IRQ than what the isapnp file was setting up. As soon as I fixed that, (and made sure /etc/resolv.conf was correct) everything works perfectly. HTH, Wayne James W.
