If you want Konsole in the dir you're looking at, just do Ctrl-T into the KFM
window- opens up a terminal in that dir. And, if you want emacs, type emacs&
into that terminal. When 'cd's are necesary, remember the history buffer - I
generally work in the same dir several sessions on the trot.- or even put a
link through kfm.
