Hello all, first attempt to install Mandrake, although I've been
using Linux since 96.

I did an HTTP install onto a 1GB WD disk in my main machine (dual
Celeron, 64MB RAM) and it went fine. (well, didn't see my ISA bus,
but thats another story).

Wiped the disk, put it in a P5 with 32 MB RAM, load the bootdisk,
it always fails after loading 2nd stage disk. tty3 says things like:

writing network information to /tmp/ifcfg-eth0
state saved to /tmp
symlink /tmp/stage2 failed

On tty1, I get a blank screen, then after a few minutes:
install exited abnormally -- received signal 9
sending termination signals...done
sending kill signals...done

has this thing cropped up before? Last I knew, the P5 worked in NT
Workstation...

Apologize if this is a FAQ somewhere, Mandrake's website didn't mention
much.
