My USB loads okay, so I cannot help there. This is from memory, so please use it as a guide, not gospel! Too bad mousedrake and gpm cannot load this way at install :-( I modified /etc/init.d/gpm and /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (XFree86 v4 config file). For gpm, I appended " -M -t ps2 -m /dev/input/mice" to the end of the line in /etc/init.d/gpm that started the gpm daemon. I used /dev/input/mice as the input because it was the only one that worked. For XF86Config-4, I changed the input device for the mouse to /dev/gpmdata and the protocol to "msc". This was on a Dell Inspiron 7K with Kensington USB wheel mouse on a USB hub. When someone posts the better way, I'll follow it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Reggie Burnett" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, November 15, 2000 11:57 AM Subject: [expert] How can I get USB mouse and touchpad both working? > Just put 7.2 on my Vaio.
