Like I said earlier, a friend with different hardware and other set of 
cd-rom's had the same problem, now I'm waiting for him to take a look at his 
fstab file.
I've had SuSE as my default OS for a long time and always installing other 
dist's on the same harddisk, never had problems with that. I've had 4 Linuxes 
(and Win98) at once on one disk, all running smoothly....:-)

I might in fact try another LM install just because I'm curious myself, in 
fact I would like to install Mandrake at work but it doesn't. There's only 
one dist willing to install on my box at work and it's Caldera, I've tryed 
SuSE, Red Hat, Slackware, Storm, Debian, Mandrake, you name it, they all 
freeze at the moment they try to load into/initiate ramdisk, all except 
Caldera (2.3 and 2.4). Problem with Caldera is that it's a nightmare to try 
and install some applications you need that are not Caldera's.
