These controllers aren't really hardware RAID anyway, see the post on mandrakeforum.com from Andre Hedrick. It seems it would be best to use sofware RAID using the udma66 controller anyway. You will have to make a raid device, which means that you need to format the new filesystem, so it might be best to reinstall.
