You need to add the line vga=788 to your lilo.conf file and then run 
/sbin/lilo

The when you reboot it should run Aurora.  See my example of my lilo.conf 
file below.


image=/boot/vmlinuz
        label=linux
        root=/dev/hda5
        append=" hdd=ide-scsi hdc=ide-floppy"
        vga=788
        read-only
