Well I did a re-install and it looks like the USB hub on these motherboards (ASUS CUSL2) causes the issues. I had to manually config it fo rmy mouse and then my install kept hanging. So I put my Intellimouse Exolporer on the PS/2 port and all is well so far. Now to install the nvidia driver again. :) Will report back on my pogress.
