Thanks a lot. But I was thinking of the kernel number defined by
kernel.org. something like
kernel.2.4.0..test10.pre9999999999.
 

If you have the rpm, the information is in the /INFO section.

IAW the change log in the /INFO
2.4.0-0.31mdk
