1.) Install NT4.0
2.)Install Linux,putting Lilo in the / Partition,remember the hard drive
mount point,on my machine it is hda8.
3.)When Linux is installed you will not be able to get back to it yet.Use
the cd and choose rescue to get to a prompt.Mount your floppy drive.Then
type this :dd if=/dev/hda8 of=/mnt/floppy/bootsect.lnx bs=1 count=512
(substitute your root mount and floppy mount!)
4.)Boot into NT and make the boot.ini file in the root so that you can edit
it.Add the following line at the end of the file C:\bootsect.lnx="mandrake
7.2"
5.)save the file and coppy the bootsect.lnx from the floppy to the root of
the NT drive.
6.)When you reboot you should see an entry for Linux,scroll down to it and
hit return,there you go,Linux will boot.

Here is my boot.ini file:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows NT Server Version 4.00"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect
scsi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Windows NT Server Version 4.00
[VGA  mode]" /basevideo /sos
C:\="Microsoft Windows"
C:\bootsect.lnx="Mandrake 7.2"

You could also put Lilo in a boot partition,just remember the mount point !
