And how big would that be Jeff?  My PM has no trouble looking at 30gig
partitions.  I think what you're saying is that if your bios is old
enough not to deal with large drives, PM won't be able to help.

One thing I have found is that while it seemed fully compatible with
DiskDrake up until 7.1, partitions made with PM are, in some way, "not
recognized" (error from Diskdrake) during installation.  The odd thing
is that if I tell diskDrake to auto-allocate, it allocates exactly the
way PM had it partitioned.  This suggests to me that it's reading the
partition table but that the setup routine is at fault.

I haven't seen anything with the slick interface of PM that runs
directly under Linux (though I always run PM from a floppy/DOS). 
parted is probably the closest you're going to find right now.
