Hi,

I purchased the Mandrake Complete 7.2, yesterday, and
installed it today. I we\as disappointed to find that garden-variety
ftp and emacs are not included in the distribution. However,
I can live with gftp and xemacs(I think), but I really need rsh.

I am using it on a private network, so the security weakness is
not an issue. I have other machines on the network of earlier
Mandrake versions, so I don't want to use srsh.

I copied rsh, rlogin, and rexec from a 7.1 machine, and set the
file mode to match those of the 7.1 machine
I also edited /etc/inetd.conf to allow rsh and rlogin, and included
inet in the started services.

I can now rsh from the new machine to any of the older machines,
but if I try to login from the older machines to the new machine,
I get the message rcmd: Connection reset by peer.

What else do I need to do?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.
