Hi,

I am setting up a masquerading dialup server for windows clients with
masqserver. The major problem is that "ifdown ppp0" leaves an instance
of ppp-watch running that was not running before "ifup ppp0". This
causes the modem to dial out at VERY regular intervals when the
interface is supposed to be down. I have tried adding an ifdown-local
script with a bit of checking and a "killall ppp-watch" (which works
from the command-line), but this does not kill ppp-watch.

I am going out to the remote site in 13 hours, and would like to have
the whole setup working by then (this is the only obstacle to me
installing the whole network, including print-servers, mail servers,
automatic retreival of mail with fetchmail etc).

This appears to be a bug in the scripts, but I am prepared to do
anything (within the time-limits) to get it to work.

Regards,
Buchan
