Assuming no problems with the motherboard, power supply, video card and monitor. 1) Make sure the video adapter is FULLY seated. If it isn't you will not get video output. 2) If the system beeps twice during the "post" then it is not recognizing the video adapter. 3) Remove all other cards and try, if this works, go into the bios and "reset" the PNP/PCI data area and make sure that you PNP OS = on. 4) Re-insert the cards one at a time and make sure you are getting video. 5) You did not mention what type of card it is, some newer cards, NVIDIA & Voodoo 3 & 5 require higher voltage levels than what the older motherboards can provide. Normally there is a special jumper on the motherboard labeled VOODOO or VOODOO3. If present enable this. If not, and you have one of these boards you are SOL. -JMS -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of N K Sent: Wednesday, December 06, 2000 10:22 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [expert] Help with video card signal Howdy all... Just wondering if anyone has any idea as to why i could not get a video signal. The card has been tested on a other machine and i could get a video signal, but when i plug it into the original motherboard there's no video signal. I have tried other cards which i know that works into that motherboard and still no signal. As well, i have changed the power supply to see of that is the problem and still the same thing and also i have tried other different slots on the motherboard. Help... Thanks for your time.
