Windows 2000 will be ahppy with wiethr Grub or Lilo. You boot procees
will look like this
LILO/Grub [select Window from menu]
NTLDR [select Windows 2000 Professional from the Menu]
They won't interfere with each other because they install to different
parts of disk. LILO and Grub live in your MBR, the first 512 byes of yur
hard disk. NTLDR lives in a partition boot sector, the first 512 byes of
a partition [usually your first partition].
You can just install the lilo and grub packages now, set them up [using
the info from /proc/partitions and /etc/fstab to work out which OSs live
on which disks], and then run the appropriate command to make the changes
take effect.
LILO [and perhaps Grub] are flexible enough that they can also be put
into a partition boot sector if you wish. The nifty thing about that is
that rather than having LILO / Grub the NTLDR, you can have NTLDR with
Linux listed as an option, then go to Lilo or Grub fro there. Whatever
rubs your nub :-). Read the Linux + NTLDR for more info if you feel so
inclined.
