would this explain why, when i run mandrake-update, the boxes appear that say 'updating list' and 'fetching descriptions' (from memory could be different wording) and after they go there is nothing listed in either 'normal' or 'development'? i guess all my installed 'normal' packages could be uptodate but there must be some 'development' packages i don't have since i haven't actually installed any! update has worked in the past which is why i think normal showing no updates is just about believable but no updates for 'development'? bascule On Thursday 14 December 2000 2:17 pm, you wrote: > > Where are you trying to upgrade FROM?
