That's Mandrake's fault - Red Hat fixed the `conf.modules' problem [by
renaming it appropriately] in Red Hat version 7, and sndconfig that ships
with 7 writes t the correct file. Mandrake should either not include
sndconfig if it worn't work properly with their setup or have shipped the
Red Hat 7 version.
Mandrake's still a better distro though, and I luv em for it. :-)
