I had the 20001210 rpms installed, everything was fine 'cept kdm was
broke. With the latest 20001213 rpms (2.1b1), I put them all in a dir
by themselves and did 'rpm -Uvh *'. .....and got
error: failed dependencies: libkscan.so.1 is needed by
kdeaddutils-2.1-0.20001213.1mdk Since I had the 20001210 version of
this rpm installed, I just moved the kdeaddutils rpm out of the dir and
installed all the rest. As with every KDE upgrade I've done, I then
ran 'update-menus -v' to restore menus and icons.

Everything's fine, the system is very stable, kdm is fixed. I've
noticed with KDE2 that from 1.94 to 2.01, when there's already a lot of
apps running on several desktops, it took longer and longer to start
another app. This situation has improved quite a bit with the last two
2.1 upgrades. With this last 2.1 upgrade I no longer consider this to
be an iritation.

I really appreciate the time and efforts by Chris Molnar to provide
these non-cooker, 7.2 compatible KDE2 upgrades. BTW, they're also
available here:
