After lots of stuffing around, finally have kwintv (and xawtv) under 7.2 working. Dont know what changed, but the automatically detected settings are not working in 7.2, whereas they did in 7.1. In my case, had to tell the modules what card and tuner were present. add to /etc/modules.conf #temic pal tuner options tuner type=0 #brooktree 8t48 grabber (miro pc-tv) options bttv card=1 The details for each option are in the CARDLIST file in the generic bttv tarball. Did not look to see if it is included with Mandrake ...
