Also you have to change /etc/lilo.conf and rerun lilo after you are done 
changing devices. Keep a boot/rescue disk handy before you do the change.

Unless you need to move the actual partitions to different physical hard
drives, editing /etc/fstab to reflect the new locations of your drives
should basically do the trick.
