I think you're missing some libraries, possibly
openldap-devel
My system works and has the following ldap-related packages:
nss_ldap-122-1.1mdk
openldap-1.2.9-7mdk
auth_ldap-1.4.0-5mdk
openldap-devel-1.2.9-7mdk
php-ldap-4.0.3pl1-1mdk
