Oh, yeah, I forgot to warn everyone. If there are special characters
in the filenames inside that directory, you'll need to use something
like this instead:
find /thedir -type f -exec chmod 644 \{\} \;
(if using csh)
if you want to see what its doing, say
find /thedir -type f -print -exec chmod 644 \{\} \;
(again, for csh)
