Hi, all,

I'm trying to try out the brand new 2.4 kernel, but I'm having a bit of a
problem. Every time I reboot, it gets to the part where it says it's
decompressing the kernel, and then it just hangs. These are the steps I've
done to get this far:

1) tar zxvf <filename> in /usr/src/
2) mv linux linux-2.4.0
3) cd linux
4) make xconfig
5) Make all the selections in the menus.
6) make dep
7) make bzImage
8) make modules
9) make modules_install
10) Make modules install
11) cp System.map /boot/System.map
12) cp System.map /boot/map (just in case)
13) cd arch/i386/boot/
14) cp bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.0
15) Edit lilo.conf
16) /sbin/lilo
17) Reboot.

Is there anything in that list I missed? I'm all confused!! :(
