I did all this but encountered multiple dependency and other problems.
cups 1.1.5-2mdk says it wants libcups1=1.1.5-2mdk,
cups-common=1.1.5-2mdk,libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3
cups-common says it wants libcups1=1.1.5-2mdk, libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2)- this has caused
me painful
experiences leading to at least four reinstalls in the past.
libcups1.1.5-2mdk has file conflicts with cups1.1.4-7.1mdk and if I opt to replace the
affected files I
end up with a freeze requiring reset.
openssl-0.9.6-4.mdk also requires the exterminator libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.2)
cups-drivers-1.0-2.1mdk wants ghostscript>=5.50-46mdk
It all sounded so simple. But then, nothing with cups has been simple or noticeably
better.
I run LM 7.2, 2.2.17-21mdk kernel and an Epson StylusColor 600 printer.
Can anyone provide guidance, please. Or should I just be grateful I can print at all?
TIA.
