The Mylex controller is limited to a maximum of seven partitions per
controller. Of course, you could always add controllers, but this doesn't
help
my partitoning scheme any. I settled for a 60 GByte /, 25 MByte /boot, and 4
GByte each /home and /usr. This is documented elsewhere on some of the
RedHat
install lists.

With a seperate /usr you will find that the bulk of the installations
will be to this partition and that it will fill long before you have used
even 1GB of /.
