Thanks John,
but two problems with that...Mandrake doesn't seem to include
the System.map there (It just has a nice "Dear Mandrake user"
letter). However, I am able to get the old System-map from
the kernel rpm.
The problem is that I copy the map to /boot, and then run lilo,
and lilo overwrites the old map with a new map file. This new
map file is what I think is causing lilo to stop at LIL- (it may also
be boot.b)
If I don't run lilo before rebooting, then lilo still stops at LIL-
