Hi,

I have mandrake 7.2, with KDE 2.0...

I've been running into this error while attempting to
configure certain kde apps, for example kdevelop 1.3
and a c++ reference file.

When I run the configure script I get....

checking for KDE headers installed... configure:
error: your system is not able
to compile a small KDE application!
Check, if you installed the KDE header files
correctly.

relevant section of config.log shows

configure:5054: g++ -c -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti
-fno-check-new -I/usr/include -I/usr/lib/qt/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include conftest.C
In file included from /usr/include/kapp.h:45, from
conftest.C:3:
/usr/include/kurl.h:24: qvaluelist.h: No such file or
directory

The only place qvaluelist.h exists is in

/usr/lib/qt2/include/qvaluelist.h

if I drop that file in /usr/include
i get still more errors upon configure...

I believe I have all the kde (devel, base, lib etc)
libraries installed and everything needed for QT 1.4 &
2.1 installed also....

Can anyone help, I've troubleshooted this as far as i
can, and I need some of these programs that I can't
currently install.

thanks in advance!

Ty
