I had similar problems when i installed mdk7.2 with cups on my
network.... i had 2 issues:

1) by default only 127.0.0.1 has permission to print on the server. In
/etc/cups/cupsd.conf (on the server), find the line that looks like:
Allow From 127.0.0.1
and add something like:
Allow From 192.168.
or whatever ip address would be right for your network

2) cups broadcasts the printers on servers to clients automatically, so
on the client you shouldn't need to do anything. You might want to run
kups and see if you can see the printer. I had a problem where my
server has 2 ethernet cards and it was broadcasting on the 1st (cable
modem network) not the second (my lan) network, so my clients couldn't
see the printers on the server. To fix this, i added the follow (to the
config file on the server):
ServerName 192.168.0.10
BrowseAddress 192.168.0.255

Again, the addresses have to be correct for your lan configuration.

Hope that helps!

Ken
