[expert] 2.4 install over LM 7.2

Any tips for installing the 2.4 kernel? I have just done a fresh 7.2
install, and was planning to d/l the rpms for 2.4 from mandrakeuser.org. I
notice, however, that 7.2 includes some apparent patches, such as a module
for usb support which I presume will be unnecessary with the 2.4 kernel. Has
anyone installed the 2.4 kernel, and if so, have any info on what else might
need changing in the system configuration (or does the 2.4 rpms from MDK
take care of all of that automagically?).
