Hi all,
I downloaded the XFree86 4.0.2 packages and one of them depends on
libfreetype.so it says.
I know of the libfreetype.a static lib which is included in the XFree86
package, I've never heard of the .so version.
My conclusion:
-Either this is a wrong depency and can be ignored.
-Either the package has been wrongly assembled cause where on earth do they
suppose we get it from?
The reason for my upgrade is that I want to use the latest kwintv which
needs libqt-mt (multi-threading, missing from my qt-2.2.3!) from qt which in
turn needs Xft from XFree86 (missing from the 4.0.1 packs). All these little
things were missing on my std. Mandrake 7.2 distro.
Has anyone been so unfortunate to stumble on this to?
