Hi,

I've played with 2.4 kernels before and seen this problem, but decided to
have a proper go with one. It's working great except that when I put the
computer into power saving mode (all set up nicely, apmd runs OK) the
ethernet fails. I'm using the tulip driver with a macronix card, on a MSI
6167 motherboard (Athlon).

The problem occurs whether the kernel's compiled with tulip as a module or
into the kernel, and can be resolved by issuing a /etc/rc.d/init.d/network
restart every time I wake up the computer.

Any ideas how to sort this out? There was no problem with 2.2.17-21mdk

thanks,

tom
