Correct, but to avoid confusion, always when referring to the program
that unpacks packages as "package managers" and the packages that are
unpacked as "packages".
You do know how to compile source code, right? That will get past your
delimma and install the package in question.
Install xfig-3.2.3c-3.src.rpm instead.
rpm --rebuild xfig-3.2.3c-3.src.rpm
goto where it put your compiled packages
ie /usr/src/RPM/RPMS/i586 or /usr/src/RPM/RPMS/[what ever your arch]
rpm -ivh xfig-3.2.3c-3.[arch].rpm
goto
ftp.rpmfine.net/linux/Mandrake-devel/cooker/i586/Mandrake/RPMS/xfig-3.2.3c-3mdk.i586.rpm
and try that binary or do what I had explained to you and go to this
link and download the source:
ftp://linux.inrialpes.fr/linux/Mandrake-devel/cooker/SRPMS/xfig-3.2.3c-3mdk.src.rpm
