I recently attempted to install the new security patched
proftpd-mdk rpm from a 7.2 update mirror.
proftpd-1.2.0rc3-1.1mdk

My home server had the earlier i386 packages
proftpd-inetd and proftpd-core packages installed
and working fine. I get conflicts upon an attempted
-Uvh proftpd-1.2.0rc3-1.1mdk with both the previous
packages.

So my question is; was the security update for the
proftpd-standalone rpm which I did NOT have installed
or should I just force/uninstall etc?

My system works fine now and I would prefer not to
find myself having to tweak the various settings again !?
Or is this a non-issue?

Thanks for any insights on this.
