gphoto2 (gphoto is the gui version and is only really useful
if you have a person standing there. gphoto2 is available
from anon cvs - I think its gphoto.sourceforge, but I could
be worng (sic), probably am ;-)
www.gphoto.org (I think - it may be gphoto.net - look on sourceforge
or freshmeat, and if that fails ask again and I'll dig up the
REAL address...)
Be sure to get gphoto2, not gphoto.
and note that it may or may not support your camera...
I'd suggest joining one of the mailing lists once you get rolling...
