Subject: Re: [expert] mandrake 8 iso

Hey, that helped... Thanks muchly, I'm not getting error messages at
startup about not "delaying eth0", now, etc etc...And I tried lsmod and it
shows
that 8139too is loaded. But, I still can't connect to anything,
and I'm getting, httpd won't start when I try and restart the network.
It looks like everything is configured properly in the Network
configuration
utility, but still can't connect to websites, etc. Also, curiously, I can't
ping
anything, it says "ping" is not installed, even tho I thought I installed
the Net
utilities, did this get left out in "8.0"? Hey, you had any luck with
system sounds?
That seems to be broke as well. Thanks in advance.

  daniel in NJ... :)
