New installation of Mandrake 7.2 with KDE 2.1. A couple of things, which
may, or may not, be related.
The HD is thrashing continuously and /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslog
keep growing, seemingly exponentially. I also get:
filesystem panic
Device 16:01 FAT error
(it's dual boot system; Linux and Win95)
I've never had either problem in the five years that I've been using Linux,
but am not a hardware person.
All help will be appreciated.
