mkisofs makes an iso image file from directory trees.  That has been
already done for you.

Run cdrecord after su to root.  That's all you need to do.  It will
write the present but unmounted CDRW blank using the iso image.

man cdrecord will give you the parameters to use - likely you will
only need -scanbus, then to write dev, speed, blank= (only if the
cdrw has previously been used), and the iso file name 
(/home/1-8.0-Traktopel-beta1-i586.iso).
