I have recently installed Mandrake 7.2 (downloaded version) - all went
very well, including detection of an ethernet card other distributions
couldn't.
Display is quite poor. I have entered all the correct monitor
settings. Other distributions work well with my monitor and these
settings. I have experimented with different settings etc. but the
display is consistantly bad.
I have also saved the xfconfig file from other distributions (redhat
6.2 and 7) and used that in place of the already existing one. No
change.
The picture is offset to the right -- there are dotted lines running
down the screen -- the picture is not sharp.
Here are my specs: Monitor: MegaImage (14")
Chipset: SIS 620
Pentium 400 celeron
192 megs shared memory (4 reserved for video)
Any thoughts would be appreciated
