Doug,

you're going to have to enable relaying within your LAN in order to
relay messages from the parent domain to the child domain. Not sure how
this is done with Posfix, but with Sendmail it's done my making the
necessary domain entries in SPAM control and Relay Domains. You can
easily access these parts of the Sendmail configuration through Webmin
on your system under the Servers tab.
