Did you try the
rpm -Uvh --ignorearch <RPM_installationfilename><Enter>
This works for me fairly often with i686 rpms on my K2-450
if I get an "architecture complaint" when attempting to install i686 rpms.
I haven't tried the the MandrakeFreq batch but give it a try
and let me know if it works?
