Okay. Try this. Depending on what you use for your boot, Lilo or Grub, Add
to your append line:
hxx=ide-scsi for the reader. (hxx =your reader drive, hdc or hdd or ??)
You will have to do, as root, lilo -v to make the changes to lilo. then
reboot.
