I have two sound cards, a via 82c686 apollo super ac97/audio built in to the
motherboard, and a yamaha ymf-724f [ds-1 audio controller]. I had some sound
from the yamaha on my first boot, but it was scratchy and poor. After the
first boot , all sound stopped. On a previous mandrake (7.0) the sound worked
as long as I turned off the kde sound server. Now it doesn't matter which
desktop I use, no sound on any of them.
HardDrake shows both cards using modules, but no other info.
I would appreciate any help.
