All,
Ok I've download the iso's and burned the cd's. The first install I did
on an HP pavillion 6735 with a celeron, quantum fireball hdd and intel 810
mobo went fine. (other than really crappy graphics during install, looked
like 4 bit color) Now I've taken the SAME disks home to my box. AMD 450
K6III on an ASUS PC5 mobo with 128meg ram and Maxtor 5204 HDD. .... It
won't install, live_update gives me a permission denied error (as root)(I
used live_update on the hp box without a problem) booting from the cdrom
goes well until it try's to see the drive and errors out saying "hdlist.cz
not found". HELP! has Mandrake now decided it doesn't like AMD? I'm
currently running 7.2 with 2.2.17 2.4hack and 2.4.2-ac1 kernels. What
gives? No error messages. (all screens act as if all is well) No asking
if I want languages in addition to English, (I also do Korean for my
wife). I'd love to have the updates it offers.... but since it WON"T
install. What can I do.
