Many thanks for the sndconfig; unfortunately it displays that my Cirrus
Logic|CS 4614/22/24 [CrystalClear SoundFusion Audio Accelerator]  is
currently NOT supported, and quits.

sigh. and I used to have sound when I first installed 7.2.
