Dear friends:
Well, I just installed LM 8.0. I have a number of problems. And I'll try
to deal with them one at a time.
Let me begin with probably the least important of them, a merely
cosmetic matter, namely Aurora. I am not happy with the graphical boot
that comes by default with LM 8.0. I much prefer the old Aurora that
came with LM 7.2. I also notice that there 5 or 6 Aurora files on my LM
8.0 CD. Could someone please explain this situation and what these other
files are for and how to replace the current Aurora with either the
earlier Lm 7.2 Aurora or any of the other Auroras. Is it simply a matter
of uninstalling (rpm -e) the current Aurora and installing a new one (or
the old LM 7.2 Aurora)? And, by the way, which is the LM 7.2 Aurora?
My reasons for this are entirely cosmetic, but appearances can make a
difference.
